Endodontic. Case Study Number 480636
We have been presented with this previously treated tooth. Twenty years ago, the root canal system has been filled with Sargenti paste (N2). 1 month ago, patient lost his post and crown and tooth has been left open since then. Root canal revision is indicated.
A demanding and time consuming task: Sargenti Paste (N2) removal in all three root canals allowed for another shaping, cleaning and filling with gutta percha and Pulp Canal Sealer (a more standard filling material). An amalgam post and core build up will allow for a new crown.
